Hi, I’m Vishal.

Welcome to DataEngineerBlog.com. I am a Senior Data Engineer with over 8+ years of experience in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data infrastructures.

I created this site with one goal: to bridge the gap between theory and production.

If you search for data engineering tutorials, you often find “Hello World” examples that work perfectly in a sandbox but fail in the real world. This blog is different. Here, I share the architecture patterns that actually work, the optimization techniques that save costs, and the lessons I’ve learned from debugging terabytes of data in production environments.

My Journey

My career in data has been a journey of constant evolution—from writing simple SQL scripts to architecting complex, cloud-native data platforms.

Over the last 8 years, I have navigated the evolution of the data landscape—from traditional on-premise warehouses to modern cloud-native architectures. I have worked on:

• Building robust ETL/ELT pipelines that handle massive scale.
• Optimizing code to reduce runtime and cloud costs.
• Architecting data lakes and warehouses that drive business intelligence.

I created this blog because I realized there is a gap in the industry. There are plenty of “Hello World” tutorials, but very few resources that discuss production-grade engineering—the kind that handles failures, scaling issues, and complex logic.
